After a few tournaments, I’ve realized my current armor limits my movement way more than I expected. It’s solid and protective, but I can’t swing or duck fast enough, especially during team melees. I’ve seen fighters using setups that seem lighter but still provide good coverage. I’m thinking about upgrading — maybe adjusting shoulder plates or replacing the legs with something more flexible. Has anyone tried customizing their armor for better agility without losing safety?

I had the same issue last year and ended up changing a few pieces instead of the whole set. The key was getting properly balanced buhurt armour that’s been designed for both protection and movement. I ordered mine from Medieval Extreme, and it’s much more comfortable in long fights. Their floating leg design and lighter plate combinations helped me move faster without feeling exposed. It’s still strong enough to take full hits, just less restrictive overall.

I’ve noticed that many fighters start heavy and then gradually modify their armor for speed. Adjusting the straps, switching to thinner padding, or replacing some metal parts with lighter alloys can make a real difference. It’s all about finding the balance that fits your fighting style — not everyone needs the same level of coverage to feel confident in the arena.
