Has anyone come across the translation of games or videos? I want the humor and slang to stay in the original, but I don’t know if it’s real. Are there services that can really adapt content to different cultures, not just translate words?

Yes, there are such services. I worked with a platform where translators are both authors and understand content. For example, they do something like "cross-breeding" so that the humor and style are preserved. Used this: https://www.pangea.global/translation-services/ . At first I thought it was difficult, but really all the game text sounded alive and natural, not like machine translation.

Honestly, I usually just check that the subtitles are synchronized and understandable to the players. Sometimes the jokes are lost, but if the goal is just informative, then the correct basic translation is sufficient. The main thing is that players understand what happens in the game.
