Okay fellow tinkerers — I need corset advice! 🧐 For my steampunk outfit, would you recommend an overbust or underbust corset? I want something dramatic but still comfy enough to wear for a full day.

Great question! For a steampunk look, both overbust and underbust corsets can be awesome, depending on your vibe. If you're going for a more dramatic silhouette with support for the bust, a steampunk corset is a fantastic choice — it adds a lot of flair and structure while enhancing the steampunk aesthetic. If you prefer more flexibility and comfort, especially if you're wearing other layers, an underbust corset can be just as striking. Both can be comfortable if you choose one with adjustable laces and a breathable lining!

But if you’re going full Victorian drama (like evening gala or photoshoot), an overbust makes a huge statement. Just know it restricts arm/shoulder movement more.
